I went to this place for years and always got a lot of money back. I never understood how as he didn’t really explain much to me. It seemed sketchy but because I was getting so much back on my returns, I naïvely continued going, and didn’t question it. Until one year I got a letter from my state saying that I owed $80,000 in back taxes due to incorrect filings. I immediately reached out to Tate and started trying to get it fixed. They avoided my phone calls and would not address it. Finally, I went in person to speak to them, and their remedy was for me to lie and do fraudulent activity in order to try and get the back taxes removed. Long story short, I ended up having to hire a tax attorney, and spent several years fighting until I eventually had to pay the taxes back. I would not recommend this place. The ridiculously large tax returns are nice until the IRS catches on and comes after you and then they will leave you hanging.

Since my first review was somehow magically taken down, here’s a copy paste of it. Do not use this guy. Complete and total scam. If you want to have your taxes audited and have DC come after your for back taxes because your “tax professional” put your residence as Virginia, then use this joker.

TTT was recommended by a family member and I'm glad I found them after a bad situation from my last tax preparer. Katrina, thank you for taking my call and showing exemplary customer service and kindness during my time of distress. I've found my new tax home and I don't plan on leaving.

I am in agreeance with the 3 most recent reviews. It has also been approximately a little over four months since I drop off my families taxes. If they couldn't handle the volume of taxes to prepare, they should have had cut a off date and not accepted anymore. I knew we were going to probably owe like last year so I did my own extension and made a downpayment. That way it won't be such a hardship whenever they are done. I hope it won't take until October to file because county taxes will be due around that time $$$ and I'm praying they haven't lost or mixed up people's paperwork and are done properly:( The IRS is not to be played with and they don't care about excuses or what we are going through to get our taxes done!! Follow up response… I have called several times at least once or twice a month since May. Spoke to Connie and Belinda once or twice and was told someone would call me. Other times I’ve left several messages and no return call. But in your response to every review you asked to give your office a call. Now it’s August and still not knowing what’s going on with my families’ taxes…

If I could rate 0 stars I would. DO NOT GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT FOR YOUR TAXES. YOU’VE BEEN WARNED!!! I filed my taxes early April. I filed an extension because I owed taxes the previous year. JEROME NEVER FILED MY EXTENSION AND IT COST ME AN EXTRA $550. I have receipts that proved when I filed and when he finished which was damn near two months after I filed. Not only that but he told my mother my information about what I owed. They don’t answer the phone. Cant leave a voice message and they don't keep in contact about the status of your return. DEFINITELY NOT PROFESSIONAL. I WILL MO LONGER SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS AND WILL DO ALL THAT I CAN TO TELL EVERYONE TO NOT GO HERE!!!!!
