Please excuse my protracted post in advance, but the quality of service I received at NFC is truly desirable. We all know the cliché “the third time is the charm”, well, NFC is/was the third accountant/time and the charm! I am a traditional worker with a W-2 and a business owner, with a spouse who is only self-employed. We also have children and investments. That being said, our taxes can be VERY complex. After having our taxes prepared inadequately by two different accountants I was reluctant to a referral. However, I tried one last time under the auspice of trust that the referral came from a very close friend. I made it a point to be late to our appointment because every other accountant we had in the past was always late, not NFC. The staff at NFC called me when our appointment time was up to ensure we had the address correct and that we were going to arrive safely because it was during the snow/ice we had in Maryland a couple weeks ago. When we arrived 30mins late the office was properly salted and prepared to receive clients. Mr. Glasgow was patiently waiting on us and was very understanding of our tardiness. Unbeknownst to him we were late on purpose. 😊 During our consultation Mr. Glasgow asked questions that no other accountant had ever asked and after the appointment he personally walked us out. I reminded him of not taking a payment for his consultation and he said, and I quote “It was a pleasure meeting with you all, but I never accept payment until I deliver a service” I told him he surely did us more of a service and any other accountant would have and they always charged us a fee. He reiterated that he had not rendered us a tangible service, yet, and his policy was not to accept payment until he dis so. Within one week we heard back from Mr. Glasgow requesting other documents he needed to work on our complex tax case, but I was late, AGAIN, in sending those documents by the requested date. YIKES! Someone called and left a voicemail as a friendly reminder regarding the documents and I immediately sent the items he requested. Within ONLY 3 days we were in his office signing our final tax documents! I cannot express enough the gratitude I have for NFC. This post is only a fraction of our appreciation. Thank you, Mr. Glasgow, and the entire staff of NFC.

This company was referred by my church as I was going through a major hiccup and was teetering on a nervous breakdown. I met with nfc once, and they demonstrated a competent entity that promised and advise that my problem was a simple process to reconcil. They took my initial payment, committed to becoming my advocate/accountant, and I never really heard from them again. Follow up calls were met with a family loss of which I understood. After allowing several months, I attempted to pick up where we left off and their mailbox is full and they cannot be reached by email, voicemail or phone call. When you want to do the right thing and are seeking the professional guidance of a company to carale you through a fix that they deem is easy, this may not be an option as they are not as willing to follow up and follow through with their promises. Buyer Beware!
