It's 11:24pm on tax day and I just had to file my own taxes after being ghosted by my "tax pro" Jeanetta Johnson. During the last several weeks, Ms. Johnson missed multiple scheduled meetings, didn't respond to a single message left on H&R's internal system or via email. When she did try to contact me, it was always via phone and always during inconvenient times where I was unable to answer to pick up. When I called her back, I found myself speaking with an automated system. I finally went in person after my second missed video meeting. Ms. Johnson was rude, short, condescending and generally unpleasant. She was helpful for all of 15 minutes, then went back to ghosting me shortly after. I will never use H&R Block again. And should you decide to do so, I would advise avoiding Jeanetta Johnson at all costs.

By far the worst experience I’ve ever had customer service wise or any kind of service wise. Something needs to be done about this place because it is not being managed properly. I doubt my data is even secure after sharing all my tax information I haven’t received one update from my preparer, one bill, nothing. Called, emailed, even came to the place in person and no progress. Complete waste of time. Jacqueline needs to find a new job

I have filed my taxes with HR block for a decade until now. Today I arrived 10 minutes early to an appointment. There’s no front desk attendant, visually no representative. I did overhear an appointment with a representative and an another client taking place in another part of the building. At 6:15, I spoke up and asked if Mrs. Brown was available aloud. “I’ll be right with you.” Brown responds, from somewhere but never physically comes out to greet me until 6:25p. Then at 6:28, I overhear a discussion with Brown, another representative and a client. My time is valuable, I made an appointment and that time was not honored. At 6:30 PM I left to make an appointment with someone else. This experience was unacceptable.

Service was great and done in a timely manner. However, information in regards to return process should’ve been explained a little more clearer. I would highly recommend staff explain in detail how returns work, especially if using the Emerald Advance Card.

I made an appointment and had to wait 45 min for the person to get in to the office. It was understaffed and one woman was doing both a tax appointment and answering the phones, which backed things up. Then, my person took nearly 2 hours for a return and it was not that complicated. I had uploaded my documentation on the H&R block site prior to and he couldnt access any of them because he couldn't figure out how to log in to my client information. We had to work off of my cell phone. Very frustrating.
