Ed Zurndorfer is a horrible communicator. He is unprofessional and unhinged. I would avoid using his business at all costs. Although he holds himself out to be an expert at saving federal employees money, his one-on-one demeanor is completely different. He's arrogant and nasty. I feel obligated to warn people not to use his business.

Ed Zurndorfer is the most unprofessional, disrespectful person I've ever interacted with-- So much so that I decided I needed to warn people about him. He agreed to do my taxes and provided an estimate for what it would likely cost and then charged me almost double that amount, in large part because he spun his wheels on his own mistakes, mistakes I caught and helped him rectify. When I asked him for an explanation of the charges, he immediately became irate and threatened me that he "had all my information" and he was going to get his money whether or not he actually filed his taxes. It was completely crazy and I was so upset by the whole thing. At the time, I remember telling my spouse what happened, how he spoke to me, and thinking he must have just had a terrible day. I wish that was it, but I had to have a couple of other communications with him and he was equally disrespectful, and quite frankly, unhinged. I had to email him to ask for some information. I told him that I didn't receive my federal refund yet (after 4 months) and that I needed the exact date and method that he filed in order to learn more from the IRS. He responded that I was "insulting" him because apparently by implication, I was suggesting that there might be a mistake on the return. He asked me not to contact him again! It was so outrageous and such a strange response. I finally told him how unprofessional I thought he was in an email. He wrote back and told me he wanted to fire me anyway because I was a "pain" from the beginning. He's not a good person and not as sharp as he thinks he is, so I would avoid him at all costs.
